This branch of the nervous system regulates functions we don’t consciously control, such as heart rate, blood pressure, sweating and body temperature. The key characteristics of POTS are the specific symptoms and the exaggerated increase in heart rate when standing. WebSuddenly developed dysautonomia last year in January and had no idea what it was. I basically just feared for my life for 2.5 weeks. Then I was fine the rest of the year. This year, I had another flare-up literally on New Years day and lasted until the beginning of March. Still having mild symptoms, but not everyday. Some good and bad days.
