Marc made up a gimmick to bring life to his open mike format. His idea was to match poets' public performances against each other as if in a fight. WebAt this new venue, The Green Mill, the theatrical and highly stylised elements that had become intrinsic to the previous performances at the ‘Get Me High Lounge’ performances were combined with a new competitive element (O’Keefe Aptowicz 2008, p. 38).
