I guess I fall in the middle. I think 4 buck is the best coyote load. It really doesn't matter if you only use 2.75 inch shells either. They work just as great.

I have shot enough to fill many truck beds with dead coyotes. Best load I have ever found is the Remington loaded #2 hevi shot at 1400 fps. I have no problems to 60 yards with this load. Dead Coyote is $6 a round now, no thanks. #4 buck will not ever give dense patterns.
